Selayang Pandang

Ketep Pass yang berada pada ketinggian sekitar 1200 mdpl sebenarnya berfungsi sebagai pandang untuk melihat Gunung Merapi. Objek wisata ini memiliki pemadangan yang indah karena dikelilingi oleh perbukitan. Untuk pecinta selfie, tempat ini memiliki beberapa spot foto dengan latar belakang Gunung Merapi. Tempat wisata ini juga menyediakan teropong untuk melihat Gunung Merapi dari dekat, namun dengan catatan Merapi sedang tidak ditutupi awan.

Bagi yang ingin mengetahui lebih lanjut seputar Gunung Merapi, tempat wisata ini juga menyediakan museum Gunung Merapi dan bioskop kecil yang menampilkan sejarah letusan Gunung Merapi yang memiliki jadwal putar tiap jam. Apabila pengunjung berminat memasuki bioskop tersebut, maka pengunjung dapat mengantri tiket di depan pintu masuk bioskop.

Ketep Pass dapat dijangkau melalui Mungkid, Magelang. Akan ada petunjuk arah di perempatan traffic light menuju wisata Ketep Pass. Jalan menuju lokasi bisa dilalui hingga bus berukuran besar namun harus berhati-hati karena jalannya yang hanya memiliki lebar hingga 6 meter dan memiliki sebuah tanjakan dengan kemiringan hampir 45 derajat. Tempat parkir wisata ini dapat menampung hingga bus berukuran besar.
