Pantai yang memiliki pasir putih ini merupakan pantai berkarang yang menjadi habitat favorit ikan-ikan hias. Pantai ini memiliki beberapa gazebo yang dapat dipergunakan oleh pengunjung.
Jika pengunjung merasa lapar, jangan kuatir, di pantai Krakal ini tersedia banyak warung makan dengan berbagai macam menu makanan. Selain itu juga tersedia penginapan untuk pengunjung berniat menghabiskan malam di pantai Krakal, tentu saja dengan harga terjangku.

Lokasi

Pantai ini terletak di Ngestirejo, Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul. Pantai Krakal berada di deretan panjang Pantai Selatan, tepatnya di antara pantai Slili dan Sarangan.

Jalur pertama melalui pusat kota dan melewati kecamatan Tanjungsari. Jalur ini tidak direkomendasikan untuk kendaraan besar karena jalannya yang berkelok-kelok dan naik turun dengan lebar jalan sekitar 4 meteran, sehingga akan kesulitan apabila berpapasan dengan bus.

Jalur kedua melalui kecamatan Tepus, jalur ini juga memiliki jalur berkelok meskipun tidak sebanyak jalur Tanjungsari. Namun pengemudi kendaraan besar diharapkan tetap berhati-hati ketika melalui jalur yang memiliki lebar jalan 4-5 meter ini.

Jalur ketiga adalah melalui kecamatan Paliyan dan tembus di JJLS, Jalur ini memiliki lebar antara 4-6 meter dengan kelokan yang minim dan hampir tidak ada tanjakan. Jalur ini sangat direkomendasikan untuk dilewati kendaraan besar, apalagi jalan ini terhubung dengan JJLS Gunungkidul.

Jalan menuju pantai Krakal sudah beraspal semua hingga di parkiran.

Parkir di pantai Krakal dapat menampung hingga puluhan kendaraan, mengingat panjangnya pantai dan luasnya areal parkir yang ada. Parkir di pantai Krakal juga dapat menampung bus pariwisata berukuran besar.
