Pantai Ngobaran terletak di Desa Kanigoro Kecamatan Saptosari Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Pantai ini merupakan pantai yang biasa dipergunakan umat Hindu untuk melakukan kegiatan keagamaannya. Karena itulah di pantai Ngobaran ini banyak terdapat arsitektur bernuansa Hindu, namun inilah yang menjadi daya tarik utama pantai Ngobaran. Pantai Ngobaran dan Pantai Nguyahan dianggap sakral oleh warga sekitarnya dan dijaga kebersihannya.

Pantai Ngobaran hanya memiliki kurang lebih 100 meter pantai berpasir, selebihnya berupa karang bebatuan dan tebing. Pada salah satu karangnya, terdapat sumur air tawar yang mengalir langsung ke pantai. Namun sumur air tawar ini hanya terlihat ketika air laut surut.

Pantai Ngobaran berada dalam satu jalur dengan pantai Ngrenehan. Untuk menemukan pantai Ngobaran pun bisa dilakukan dengan mudah karena sudah terdapat penunjuk arah di setiap persimpangan.

Bagi anda yang berangkat dari arah Jogja, ambil arah jalan menuju pantai Baron melewati Kecamatan Playen dan Kecamatan Paliyan.
Sesampainya di perempatan Trowono (ada minimarket di selatan jalan) ambil arah lurus melewati jalan sempit hingga bertemu pertigaan dengan pohon beringin di kiri jalan. Ambil jalan yang lurus dan ikuti petunjuk arah yang ada.
