Setelah sampai di Pantai Watu Kodok, pengunjung akan dimanjakan dengan hamparan pasir putih yang luas. Dua bukit yang mengapit tempat wisata ini menambah keindahannya, dimana pengunjung dapat menikmati keindahan Pantai Watu Kodok dari atas. Bukit tersebut mirip dengan katak (kodok) sehingga oleh warga objek wisata pantai ini sebut dengan Pantai Watu Kodok.

Deburan ombak mengalun melewati hamparan karang yang ditumbuhi rumput laut. Apabila datang di waktu yang tepat, pengunjung dapat menikmati matahari terbenam di tengah laut dari objek wisata satu ini.

Pantai ini masih tampak asri, belum begitu banyak gazebo yang ada di pantai ini. Tumbuhan pandan pantai yang masih dapat kita temui disini menambah indah deretan pasir pantai Watu Kodok.

Lokasi

Pantai Watu Kodok terletak di desa Kemadang, Tepus, Gunungkidul. Pantai Watu Kodok yang berpasir putih ini berada di deretan panjang Pantai Selatan tepatnya terletak di sebelah pantai Sepanjang.

Jalan menuju pantai Watu Kodok sudah beraspal hingga jalan menuju pantainya, sekitar 200 meter dari pantai. Jalan masuk menuju pantai hanya berupa cor blok yang sudah mulai rusak. Untuk saat ini (Juni 2020) tidak direkomendasikan untuk mobil dan bus.

Parkir di pantai Watu Kodok hanya dapat menampung sepeda motor dan mobil. Khusus untuk mobil harus dengan perjuangan ekstra karena tidak ada tempat untuk berpapasan dengan mobil lainnya.
