Selayang Pandang

Pantai Pulang Syawal merupakan salah satu pantai yang diminati di Gunungkidul. Pantai dengan hamparan pasir putih ini diapit oleh dua buah bukit. Kita dapat naik ke bukit di sebelah Timurnya dan berfoto diatasnya. Namun untuk naik, pengunjung harus membayar seikhlasnya. Namun semua itu terbayarkan ketika kita sudah berada diatas. Hamparan lautan menjadi pemandangan yang indah dari atas bukit ini.
Jangan heran apabila waktu liburan panjang pantai ini menjadi favorit, hingga kadang terjadi kemacetan disini.

Lokasi

Bila kita berkendara dari kota Wonosari, jalur tercepat adalah melalui Tepus. Pertigaan Tepus (ada toko Indomaret), kita ambil kanan hingga melewati pos retribusi.
Pantai Pulang Syawal sendiri berada di tepi jalan raya, dan berbatasan dengan Pantai Somandeng dan Pantai Trenggale.

Jalan menuju pantai Pulang Syawal sudah berupa aspal dengan lebar terendah 5 meter sehingga bisa dilalui bus.
Parkirannya sendiri cukup luas menampung puluhan mobil. Jarak antara tempat parkir menuju pantai pun hanya sekitar 50 meter untuk parkir terjauh.
